If you are contacted by someone claiming to act on behalf of AMS Foundation and you did not initiate the interaction, please proceed with caution.

How AMS Foundation Communicates

To help you identify legitimate communications, please note the following:

  • AMS Foundation does not contact students, families, or schools unexpectedly to request payment or personal information.

  • We never ask for credit card numbers, bank details, passwords, or government-issued identification by phone, email, or text message.

  • Official outreach from AMS Foundation occurs only:

    • in response to a direct inquiry,

    • as part of a registered competition or school partnership,

    • or through clearly identified program updates.

  • All official email communication is sent from addresses ending in @advmathsci.org.

If a message or phone call feels unusual, urgent, or unclear, it is best not to respond.

If you believe a communication claiming to represent AMS Foundation may not be legitimate:
